Developing
the next generation of technologists,
innovators, designers, and
engineers.
Technology Engineering
Education advances the technological capabilities for all students and
will nurture and promote the professionalism of those engaged in this
pursuit. We strive to meet the professional needs and interests of
all teachers and students as well as to improve public
understanding of
technology, innovation, design, and engineering education and its
contributions.
The Technology Engineering Curriculum
model is committed to the teaching of TIDE (Technology, Innovations,
Design, and Engineering) in our schools. Our award winning Engineering by
Design TM standards have been approved by Tennessee, NASA,
National Science Foundation and the Academy
of
Engineering. Our curriculum is housed at the Stem Center for Teaching
and Learning (formally known as CATTS - Center to Advance the Teaching of
Technology & Science.
We provide a standards-based 5-12 STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) National curriculum
that provides our students hands-on project-based activities and STEM
driven competitive events in TSA (Technology Student Association).
Our program of study is built on the
belief that the ingenuity of children is untapped, unrealized potential
that, when properly motivated, will lead to the next generation of
technologists, innovators, designers, and engineers.
